The rental market is hot right now. People have to live somewhere right? When your submitting an application for rent make sure you have all your paper work in order, even before you start looking at places.

Here's what your going to need for sure when submitting an application.
1. Your going to need a fully completed rental application. Try to leave nothing blank. One for each person applying.
2. A three agency credit report with scores for all applicants. This also needs to be current. Anything older than 60 days and you might need a new report.
3. A copy of a deposit check. The first payment will be a cashiers check but you can use a personal check to submit with the application.
4. Your 2 most recent pay stubs.

Here are a few extras that can really help you get the deal.
1. A personal letter about what you do, your family, your current situation. Try to keep it professional.
2. Any documents showing assets that you own. Bank accounts, stocks, retirement account, anything. Just remove your personal information.
3. A letter from your past landlord. Hopefully one that tells how great a renter you were.
4. Good references in writing. These can also help.

Hope this helps.
